Barbados part I: Homemade!
For Dee’s birthday, we celebrated by jet setting to Barbados!
It was a whirlwind holiday that was planned in less than 2 weeks. We had an amazing time to say the least. The Friday we landed, we decided to go to a local and popular hotspot, Oistins. The first night we were lucky enough to meet 2 new friends: Dominic and Ian.

zuzu9007 asked: Hi... were u staying at South Gap Hotel? Or did u pop into Salvio's for breakfast?

5. ** KAJITSU @ EAST VILLAGE, NY
For the 5th installment of my Michelin Star Challenge, I decided to go somewhere different. How different, you may wonder? Well… for starters I picked a place where they did not serve any meat! Yes, folks, a vegetarian restaurant!
Kajitsu is located in the East Village and is a vegetarian 2 Michelin star rated restaurant. They serve shojin cuisine which is an ancient Japanese culinary...

A couple of weekends ago, Dee invited a few of us over and hosted a dinner party. She provided her space, a refreshing salad and flavorful Dominican food.
The dining area made for a beautiful setting.
Pictured above: macaroni cupcakes, plantains, roasted chicken and mini cupcakes.
I brought my bacon quiche (not...

Red Meat Consumption and Mortality →
I’m at lunch eating a delicious medium rare steak with arugula while reading this article.

4. *** Le Bernardin @ Midtown West, NY
Apparently, 2011 was a very generous year in the work realm. Not only did I receive a bonus, I was also a recipient of the CEO award (as well as a couple of minor awards). The CEO award goes to a few individuals who were part of a team that contributed to a project that directly impacted the company’s ability to deliver the best investing experience to the customers. Innovation and...

Red Rooster, Harlem
Marcos is one of my best friends in New York. He’s a Managing Director of a bank on Wall Street and every so often we will hang out to either celebrate our birthdays by watching a football game at Yale (we’re both Libras), art stalk Genesis P-Orridge or enjoy some other cultural event.
Before Marcos’s one month business trip to India, we decided to meet up and dine at Red...
